WE ARE THE CHIEFS
Last week is just a bad memory.
Feel better. Watch this video. Go to the game. Look for me in Section 330. Or stay home. No matter what, if you're in Kansas City, cheer for the Chiefs!

Circle Game
Some days I feel every minute of my nearly-54-years-on-the-planet.
Tuesday I stumbled across this article about my first professional sports crush, Larry Csonka, AND NOW I REALLY FEEL OLD.
I graduated from East Charles Mix #102, aka Wagner High School, in 1975.
That year Volkswagon introduced the "Rabbit."
That year "Wheel of Fortune" was inflicted on a Hangman-deprived nation. Saigon fell. FBI agents got into a shootout on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and three died. Jimmy Hoffa disappeared. (He did NOT "go missing." How I hate that phrase!)
SNL delighted me and my college pals. Tiki Barber, the worst Today Show correspondent (until Jenna Bush), was born. So was his brother Ronde. And rapper 50 Cent.
In 1975, Larry Csonka had left the Dolphins and was playing for (gasp) the Memphis Grizzlies. If you click on nothing else, click on that link. Csonka is in the middle. What a stud! Sidebar: he played college at Syracuse (where we lived in 2007-08). And the reason I wore his jersey in the mid-70s was because the then owner of the Dolphins, Joe Robbie, awarded me a scholarship of $500 to join the debate team at what was then Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
I'm still crazy about you Larry!
And the painted ponies go up and down.

Kansas City Chiefs Touchdown Song
I admit it. I'm not just on the Chief's Bandwagon. I'm driving it.
